About the role
We’re looking for experienced Learning Practitioners to join our brilliant Knowledge and Learning team. This opportunity has arisen as our team continues to grow, reflecting our commitment to building capability, supporting development and driving high‑quality learning across the organisation.
- You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering our technical learning programmes, ensuring colleagues have the skills, knowledge and confidence to perform at their best.
- Working closely with operational teams, you’ll support them through periods of change, helping embed new processes, behaviours and ways of working.
- You’ll bring expertise in creating impactful learning experiences, using data, insight and feedback to shape high‑quality learning plans that meet organisational priorities.
- Operating in a fast‑paced environment, you’ll manage multiple projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and continuously improve our learning offer.
Job description
As an Operational Learning Practitioner- in our Knowledge, Quality & Learning Team. You will play a key role in shaping high‑quality learning that supports organisational delivery and capability. You will:
- Design and deliver impactful learning solutions: You will lead the full learning cycle – identifying learning needs, defining outcomes, and creating blended learning programmes that include classroom, virtual and digital content. Your designs will align with the 70:20:10 learning model and reflect best practice in adult learning.
- Deliver high‑quality training across the organisation: You will facilitate engaging sessions for groups of all sizes, from large‑scale presentations to targeted workshops. You will provide post‑training support to ensure colleagues can confidently apply their new skills in the workplace.
- Support organisational change and new legislation: You will work closely with project teams to translate new policies, systems and processes into clear, accessible learning. You will play a vital role in supporting operational teams through periods of change, ensuring people understand what’s changing and why.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning: You will introduce tools, techniques and resources that encourage knowledge‑sharing, self‑directed learning, and ongoing professional growth. You will champion learning best practice and contribute to building a strong learning culture across the organisation.
Your duties may include, but are not limited to the examples above, giving you a varied and rewarding experience as you develop your skills.

Where will you be working?
You will be aligned to our Cardiff office, where you will be expected to attend on a regular basis. We use a hybrid working model to support a healthy work-life balance. As this is a hands‑on training role, you may need to be in the office more frequently to deliver training- including up to 5 days a week. During these times, you’ll work our training hours of 9am–4pm. Attendance patterns will be agreed with your manager in line with the needs of the business. For this opportunity, we are not able to accept Part Time working requests.

About you- We are looking for confident and capable Learning Practitioners who demonstrate:
- Expertise in learning and development – with a strong passion for developing others and a commitment to their own continuous professional growth. You will bring experience in designing, delivering and evaluating high‑quality learning that supports organisational capability.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills – confident, enthusiastic and able to build trusted relationships across teams. You will deliver engaging learning to a range of audiences, adapting your style to suit different group sizes and stakeholder needs.
- High‑quality learning design capability – skilled in creating inclusive, impactful learning programmes and evaluating their effectiveness. You will design solutions that cater for diverse learning preferences and drive measurable outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail – able to think critically about risks, impacts and key priorities. You will ensure learning materials are accurate, clear and aligned with organisational standards.
- Strong organisation and independence – able to manage your own workload, meet deadlines, and respond flexibly to emerging issues and shifting priorities. You will plan effectively while remaining adaptable.
- Collaboration and initiative – comfortable taking ownership while also contributing positively to team goals. You will work proactively with colleagues to deliver shared outcomes.
- Good digital capability – confident using IT tools and creating high‑quality content using Office 365 applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
